On December 25, 2013, the Confucius Institute made a donation of books to the University of Dubai Library and a ceremony was held at the UD library.
The Confucius Institute donated 57 kinds of books, the total number being 215 books, including various types of Chinese language learning text books and teaching method research references, as well as some valuable resources related to Arabic and Emirati culture.
At the ceremony, Mr. Ali Amour , UD Librarian, thanked the Confucius Institute for this donation and said the books would greatly enrich UD library’s Chinese book collection.
Dr. Ananth Rao delivered a warm speech and expressed his appreciation for the contribution CIUD made to UD’s library.
Prof. Ma Jun, Director of CIUD, affirmed that CIUD would play an important role in the collaboration between UD and NU.
